Yi Pang
Professor, Director of the Computer Science Department, Georgia State University

Prof Yi Pang’s main areas of research include distributed and cloud computing, network technology and bioinformatics. He has published over more than 150 papers in SCI-indexed academic papers, including more than 50 published in the IEEE Transactions. In the past ten years, his research work was supported by National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, U.S. Air Force Office for Scientific Research, the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory, National Natural Science Foundation of China , Japan Society for the promotion of Science, the Research Grants Council of Hongkong, the Japanese Ministry of education and the state of Georgia and the Ohio state government and other agencies funded. He has many science foundation as guest judges, such as U.S. National Science Foundation, Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada, Australian Research Council, Hong Kong Research Grants Council etc. A number of awards have been awarded in the United States. Including: 2002 International Conference of computer science comprehensive achievement award (Achievement Award), the 2001 International Information Science Consortium (IISF) visiting fellow funded research award in 1999s at the University College of Arts and Sciences, and in 1998 2004 Japan Society for the promotion of Science.
